Reseal Tile Shower Floor
Sealing is done to strengthen tile or grout s defenses against dirt spills and erosion of grout but not all tile needs to be sealed.
Reseal tile shower floor. Use latex based products to seal both grout and tile. Ventilate the room and prepare a cleaning solution of an alkaline tile. Use a scrub brush for tough marks and dirt and a soft sponge for fine cleaning. You will need to reseal floor grout every three to five years and shower grout once a year.
Do not use the shower nor cleaning products at this time. Shower tiles should be sealed every one to two years depending on how often the shower is used. Again always clean grout carefully before resealing. It is essential for your shower floor to be dry before the sealing.
Some tiles are too thick to absorb the sealant so check a small area first. Reseal the grout in shower tiles at least twice per year for maximum protection. A good way to determine which grout applicator works for you is to trace the sides of the grout lines onto a piece. Rinse with warm water until you remove all detergent or soap residue and leave your shower floor to dry completely.
