Remove Mold From Carpet Baking Soda
Add five parts of water with 1 part of hydrogen peroxide to a spray bottle and lightly cover the affected area in a mist again.
Remove mold from carpet baking soda. Then vacuum up the baking soda and scrub the mold with white vinegar to kill it. Depending on the size of the mold patch use either one or two cups of baking soda. To get rid of carpet mold start by sprinkling baking soda over the mold and leaving it on overnight which will absorb moisture and bad odors. After thoroughly cleansing the area with the vinegar solution sprinkle a thin layer of baking soda over the carpet.
Spray the area with the spray bottle again and let the surface dry. Let the powder sit overnight to absorb odor and the mildew. This will kill any left over mold and help t prevent future mold growth. Depending on the amount of mildew on the carpet mix one cup of white vinegar for every two cups of water.
Unless you are certain that the type of mold you are dealing with is non toxic you should never attempt to remove it yourself. Add lots of baking soda. It can be used both diluted in water or in a water and vinegar mixture. In the morning vacuum away the remnants of the baking soda and enjoy the fresh scent.
When you re finished blow dry the areas you scrubbed so they re not damp. Baking soda is another handy ingredient that is useful in removing mold. Add vinegar to your baking soda solution or when cleaning up with water to increase the odds of killing the mold species. The strong odor from the vinegar will dissipate within a few hours.
Just keep in mind that too much of the mixture can trigger additional mold growth. Let it dry overnight. Mold is a very serious and can be very damaging to your health. Add the mixture to a spray bottle and spritz the carpet creating a light misty layer.
However if you used baking soda with the vinegar it will remove any odors from the carpet along with the mold. Baking soda is a natural and very soft disinfectant so it will leave no odor.
