Remove Melted Wax From Carpet
Take immediate action to clean up the wax spill.
Remove melted wax from carpet. To remove wax from carpet you ll need the following on hand. Remove the plastic bag and begin to scrape the wax off the carpet using a dull knife. A hair dryer set to the hottest setting can also be used to remove wax from carpet. The heat will draw the wax out of the carpet and into the towel.
We ll take the paper bag long ways put it right over our candle wax turn the iron on high and then we ll simply put it on to the paper bag and drag it across that way it ll absorb all that. You may think the mess is permanent and impossible to clean up but you can remove the body wax from the carpet. Let the wax freeze for a few minutes. Lay the plastic bag directly onto the area of your carpet with the wax stain.
Place a brown paper bag or card stock over the wax stain and keep a towel nearby to protect the rest of the carpet. If you cannot react immediately you can still clean up the mess after the wax solidifies. To make wax easier to remove you can cool it down with an ice cube. Dampen a white cotton towel fold it in half and place it over the wax.
Once the wax is melted it will stick to the bag or towel. Place enough ice cubes in a ziploc bag to completely cover the wax stain. Rub gently to melt and remove some of the wax and then reposition the bag to soak up more wax. Run the warm iron over the cloth until the wax melts.
As the melted body wax hardens it sticks to the carpet nap. Bag of ice or an ice pack iron a hair dryer can work in a pinch paper towel terry cloth towel or brown paper bag. Ice can be used to harden wax to remove it from carpet. Press an iron set on high over the towel for 10 seconds.
Repeat until the wax is gone you may have to hold the iron in place for up to 30 seconds. Remove the ice and using a butter knife or the bowl of a plastic spoon gently scrape the wax from the carpet. Turn the iron onto a warm not hot setting with the steam turned off.
