Remove Discoloration Granite
First apply our granite poultice and keep it in place for 3 days then remove the granite poultice and let the treated granite area dry out for another 3 days.
Remove discoloration granite. These can be cleaned by 30 40 by volume concentration of hydrogen peroxide. Cover the poultice with plastic wrap. Oil based paints caulk putty preservative oils and sealants may cause oil stains. Rub the granite with hydrogen peroxide using a cleaning rag to clean ink and marker stains and organic stains such as coffee and milk.
Coffee and tea spills gravy mustard and soda are among the most common. How to remove stains and discoloration from granite your problem is not uncommon. Mix baking soda with 3 percent hydrogen peroxide to create a poultice. Remove with a damp soft cloth.
Get out paint stains in granite typically latex or acrylic paints won t cause a stain. For small paint stains you can remove stains from granite with lacquer thinner or scrape off with a razor knife.
The following technique should remedy your situation. Leave covered for at least 24 hours the baking soda will dry and pull up much of the stain. Step 3 eliminate water marks and stains by gently rubbing steel wool over the discoloration. Flour liquid soap poultice.
Apply a fresh poultice if needed. Apply the poultice to the stain. Don t rub too hard with the steel wool to avoid damaging the granite.
